Energy Superstore has sourced the most energy efficient solar water heaters on the market. Solar water heaters use sunlight to heat cold water. This is done by passing water through a 'collector panel' that is generally located on the roof. During warmer months the sun can provide all the energy for heating water. The booster is normally not required and in many instances is turned off. During winter a booster is used to heat the water to a preset temperature. Boosters can be either electric or gas.
